Chuchu's first anniversary of becoming stardust

Dear Yama/Chitragupta –  It has been a year and a day since Chuchu’s departure from here . I hope he is treating you both well and keeping you on your toes. Especially you, Chitragupta – he is good at keeping accounts. So, beware – you will not be able to falsify on your double entries anymore. I am sure you would have learnt about it since his arrival there. Since the last one year, there would have been so many arrivals at your end. In fact, God could not save the Queen. She has been your freshest arrival – few hours ago. Anyway, how has Chuchu been? I am sure you have the strongest man in the known Universe. He is capable at many things, not just keeping accounts. One of the things he was not able to do while he was here was travel places. By himself. That must have changed since his arrival there! I vividly remember every travel with him. Mediating Community Disputes: Abortion

An essay from my Alternate Dispute Resolution class.  Trigger warning: Sensitive topic . Open for sensible debate. Generally speaking, Abortion , a noun that stems from Abort , means act of stopping a process from completing. Biologically, the arrest of the development of an organ, typically a seed or fruit. With this knowledge set out as context, let us look at where we, the citizens of the world, stand on the issues and resolution around Abortion . Issues The Views Abortion is one of the topics, other than Migrants , which would attract a good deal of folks to debate. These participants would fill the entire spectrum of tolerance in varying concentration. The tolerance on this spectrum can begin with “I don’t care” to all the way “I’ll f*%n kill you” [1] . The militia on either ends of the spectrum can have some very radical thoughts about Abortion – emphasizing the fact “my way or the highway.” One wonders, what do these folks need, and what are their views? Managing Personal Conflicts and Disuptes

An essay from my Alternate Dispute Resolution class. Introduction While life is filled with millions of varied conflicts and disputes – from small and insignificant to that of national importance (heavy pun intended), it is hard to recall them at a time when it is needed the most – thanks to the universal ailment called “memory lapse”. After a lot of thought, recall and dismissal of many conflicts and disputes the author had endured, he finally ended up on national importance. Hailing from India and being part of a “upper caste” [1] community, the author was rolling in “privileges”. The author, not realizing that these are “given advantages”, grew up in bliss – ridiculing and shaming folks who were neither from his community nor had enjoyed the benefits the author had. While this may seem to be too much information , it needs to be expressed to lay a foundation for this essay. The author’s perception of world changed after he moved to the Americas.
