Marriage Gossips and Others…

Marriage is always fun. Be it relative’s or friend’s or someone whom you had been acquainted and long forgotten his/her existence! What makes it very interesting? Marriage is interesting because… No! This is not a SST/ENG/EVS class. Gossips rule the whole party! She1: Aye! Paathiyaadi avavla? Evvalavu nagai potturukka! She2: Paathundu than irukken, ava husband-u Dubai-la velai seiaraanam! (Now the situation has changed. It is more like “Ava husband-u America-la Software-la velai seiranama…”) She1: Ye Archana inga vayen. Ennadi athu kathula? Puthu model-a? Archana: Amam maami! LKS-la puthusa oru model vanthuthu. Avar kitten ketten, ethu venumo vangikko appadinu sollittu avroda card koduthu-tu poittaru. (Archana leaves after that.) She1: Koduthu vechava. Hmmm! Yenoda athukkararum irukkara! Seriyana oru asamanjam! She2: Amam amam! She1: ?! She1: Atha vidungo! Avvala parungalen, eppadi dress pottundu vanthirukka-nu?! She2: Eva? She1: Athan, tight-a oru sattaiyum

Goldmine found!

Due to heavy requests I'm removing the associated picture from this post. Few days back, as I was sitting in my cubicle and trying to figure out a way to while away my valuable working time, a colleague (my team-mate) showed me a picture of a bride and bridegroom at their wedding. The bride was wearing a haaram (A necklace) that started from her chest and went on till her abdomen. It was thick and it was made out of gold! She was decorated like a goddess (No, goddess are never decorated that way! They are simpler than us. I can compare this way: Kuber maharaj wouldn’t have had anything like that!!!) I made a sarcastic remark on my colleague’s jealousy! And yesterday I got the same forward, from my schoolmate, with a different subject “Is the Aejaz?” This bloke was my school mate. When I looked at the picture, I noticed that it was indeed Aejaz standing next to the just-like-prince-jewellery-ad-in-theatre or a-saravana-stores-model. (I never saw the bridegroom last time when I

Wedding season – Blues…

The end margazhi maasam and kari naals , marks the season (It continues till July and a break and then starts from mid August to mid December, then again a break till January end) of wedding, and related happenings. Basically, the start of anything during this time should end in a good way. And yesterday happened to be a wedding reception of my mom’s relative’s (Yeah, I too am related! What a dumb statement!) daughter! I was very adamant to not attend it, even if god comes down and rages a war against me, but you know one can never win their mom. The retinue of my mom was me and my mom’s cousin. My mom’s cousin is about 10yrs elder to me and we have good rapport. So, I and my mom went ahead to my cousin’s place to pick him. I waited outside his house and mom went inside. As I was waiting, (There’s a ladies tailor shop adjacent to the place) one of the tailor came out and started a conversation. My mobile had zero signal, and I was little annoyed. He noticed and said that th

BALANAGAMMA

It was 2330hrs... And a car went vrrroooommm and stopped at a place. Walking towards it I found it pretty odd. I took sometime to find the oddity - On the windshield. It was at the top of the glass and alligned centred and stood out in bold letters (Well a Software Engineer stressed excessively to documentation, will see his world this way!). BALANAGAMMA I had no clue what that meant. I read it- 'B' 'A' 'L' 'A' 'N' 'A' 'G' 'A' 'M' 'M' 'A' What could be it? I was thinking physics Gama with a spelling mistake! Finally realising my idiocy, I re-read it BALA NAGAMMA! Eureka! I laughed all the way till a dog started to bark and came chasing me... People, do not confuse an Engineer! Why do not you all make his life easier. Give a space between words! io io io! Stop laughing and return to work! Enough is enough...
